Materials I use

Pencils: I use pencils to sketch my drawings, I use the because they are easy to rub out if I make any mistakes

Fine Liners: I uses fin liners to in my sketches that I have done with the pencil, an once that image is all inked in I can rub out all the pencil lines, I do this because it makes the image look really clean.

Sharpener: I  use this to sharpen my pencils, other wise that pencils will be dull and hard to use.

Eraser: I use this to rub out mistake I make with the pencil and rub out all the pencil marks after inking.

Water colour pencils: I use these to test out colour to see what works and what doesn't.

Pro Markers: After inking I will colour that image with Pro Markers, they look really nice on paper and can blend very well.

Unit 1-All the Notes!!!

Character prototype : The first design or idea of a character, or character references of the sort of character that you want to create.

Character Profile : A list of questions to help us understand a character more affectively, how tall, ETC.

Character colour code: The main colours or set of colours that are always use in that character eg, warm colours.

Antagonist: A character that is actively opposed or hostile to the protagonist or other character.

Protagonist: A character that is the lead in a story.

Character Arc: Is an inner transformation of the characters personality or views.

Villains: A character who has evil intentions that are important to the plot of the story.

Heros: A character that is admired of the good things that they do in the story.

Character identity: The fact of being who or what a character is.

Character goals: Things that the characters wants to achieve.

These are images that is scanned into the computer and coloured in photoshop, I am very happy with how they turned out. On the second drawing I could have done the shading better as it doesn't look as it could have been even though I like the shading on the louth and eyes. I like the background on the first drawing as it is less detailed where as the background on the second drawing has more detail and doesn't make the character stand out as much. I created both of these drawings using the same method:

Step1: I drew the images in pencil, then i inked the images and then I rubbed out the pencil to make the image cleaner.
Step2: Next I scanner the image into the computer, and then brought the image in to photoshop.
Step3: Once the image was in photoshop, I created another layer underneath the layer with the image on it, and then click on the layer with image ion it and turn it into a multiple layer.
Step4: Now You should be able to colour under the line art.

Unit 1-Characters of The Abnormal

The characters of  The Abnormal

The basic character designs for most of the characters from The Abnormal

Quinn Feather- A young boy (age 15-16) with the gift of psychokinesis, who wants nothing but a normal life. He loves to spend his time walking around drawing things he sees but as times change he soon loves the life of a superhero.

Violet Honeywell- (age 15)The weird kid at school who seems to know everything about everyone, has a secret desire for fashion and reading comic books and has always wanted a life of adventure.

Max Weber- ( age 15) A teenager of science and logic, and is famous for being the biggest nerd at school, he loves to cook and eat food, and make tones of gadgets for his team.

Lucifer Gold stein- (age 36) Is the riches man in all of Fallen-Cross city and runs the robotics factory, FC Bobotics Enforcement. And is hatching a evil plan behind the scenes.

Sqweebly- (age 48) The mad scientist working for Lucifer as is the master mind behind the robot enforcers (bo-bots). I is a very small man that just wants to be known for the genius he is.

Axelot Fanwell- (age 27) A dark humoured man with a haunting past, with very little social skills, that leads him to be very mean and unwelcoming to people. Except for Alex who he cares dearly for but tries not to show it.

Alex Bluebell-(age 24) A happy and cheerful woman who is very kind and understanding, who always tries to look on the bright sight. She tries to be optimistic around Axelot in order to keep him calm and happy.

Adrien Fanwell- (age 23) A smart individual with his own family to take care of, and wants nothing to do with his trampy older brother.

Bo-Bots- They are robots created by Sqweebly, and are used to enforce the law around the city, but also have the ability to mutate and transform into a larger more deadly robot if they target an Abnormal, in order to try and capture and contain the Abnormal.  

X and Ray- (age 26) A test subject that was brainwashed and connected to his pet wolf, they do not remember their past and only do as they are told, they have become half normal and half machine, and will carry out all and any task given to them as long as they are under the influence of Lucifer Goldstein. 

Quizzy Feather- (age 6) A small hyperactive child that is younger sister to Quinn and says very weird stuff, not thinking of the consequences, she has a fascination toward Axelot as well as also being slightly scared of him. She is innocent in her mind. 

Paul Feather-( age 39) The father to Quinn and Quizzy, he works for Lucifer and knows about all the work that Lucifer does. he is very protective of his family and very smart. He wants only the best for his family and their wellbeing.

Crystal- (age 24) A test subject who was bought to Paul to when he was working there. She fell in love with him and they had a baby but she died at the birth of her son.

Elizabeth *Nickname: Liz* - (age 36) The mother to Quizzy and adopted mother to Quinn, she loves them, both equally. She has no idea of the work behind Lucifer or anything out of the ordinary. But she is loveable mother who cares very much. 

Unit 1-Character creation- The Abnormal

Character creation
I started with a basic idea of a character, a superhero(meta human ), artist, that is blind in one eye. Next I started doing some sketches of each aspect, drawing a typical superhero, and artist and a boy that is bling in one eye and overall trying to figure out the basic information of the character. The best way I found to create characters is do simple and basic sketches, for example making it very same and have dots for the eyes, this helps me get ideas on to the paper with out me wasting time of detail that is not needed yet. Next I started to think of more characters that I could fit into a story and started drawing up designs for them, I also was thinking of a costume since he is a superhero. I first thought of a concept of him having headphones on that were linked to his team that would help him, which had a pice of glass attracted that would go over his blind eye making him able to see. The characters costumes was a problem as I didn't want him to have a normal superhero costume as it would be boring, so tried mixing it up a bit and I gave him a hood which really brings his design together, and is really appealing to me.
